The little Hondas are essentially investments, and they hold or increase their value as they age.
That said, if you don't want to deal with carbs, gas, and oil changes: I bought a basic Skil battery-electric lawn mower for my new suburban place, and it's been great. I'm getting about 3 X the battery life that I expected. I can understand the appeal of an electric pit bike for maintenance/upkeep reasons.
