when i need a hose that i have no idea what application will work for what i want, i have some of that "chrome" replacement flexy stuff that is made to replace the heat "stove" connection from the air cleaner snout to the exhaust manifold tin work.
i form it to the shape i need, then off to the parts store to see what hose comes close to being able to go where it needs to.
the nice thing about using that over a piece of wire, being a somewhat full size model, it will show if there may be any interference issues anywhere along the way. wire may not show this, being skinny as opposed to "full size".
