RARELY will you get any compensation. I does happen but rarely. They all self insure so like the medaical insurance companies, it's best to deny a claim.

I had cat whiskers damaged by UPS. They want a phone book of info. 15 pictures in a specific sequence; all side, both ends, close up of damage, part laying beside box, etc. All sounds legit. They want a picture of the box manufacturers label and specs. They they want to see an invoice of what I actually paid for the item. Not my retail price. After all that, they denied. EFFERS!!!!!!!

The mail has gotten better, They used to lose ONE PERCENT. Thats 300 per year!!!!!!!!!!!! Now they only lose about 0.1%
