My 73 is getting the same but part of the hood will be trimmed in red to match the car.

If I could find an old Porsche whale tail spoiler I would wide body the fenders and add that spoiler. Not flare but widen the whole fender like Dick Landy did to his Challenger.
Many would hate it but I would enjoy it.

Nothing wrong with that. Its your car so absolutely do it as you want. The purest would hate my back half pro Street looking cuda. Myself I do them the way I like. Good luck and have at it.
