When my mild steel cage was removed and replaced with CM I was going to add a funny car cage. My chassis guy and I discussed this but when he heard I'd also drive it on the road from time to time he said he wouldn't add it . He said in the street it wasn't safe. Not a problem as I won't go faster than 8.5.
