So what classes would dictate you had to use a street hemi AFB. This is a 70 carb which was from the emission time vice a 66-67 carb. So I am assuming it was a 70 7-1 car being raced?


NHRA Stock and Super Stock required the correct part number carburetor up until a few years ago. IHRA and AHRA were usually a little more lax where they didn't need to be the correct number, but had to measure correctly. In recent years, NHRA did away with the part number requirement and switched to the "measure correctly" method as well for some combinations. Example: Street Hemi's can use Edelbrock 1405's.
