No I didn't put oil in the filter. I have 5 qts in the motor now, I did run the motor shut in down and then checked the oil, and its right on the full mark. From what I understand the hemi pan holds 6 qts plus the filter,witch should be a total of 7qts. Also from what I understand no one makes a dipstick that will read correctly, so I have to make a new full mark on my dipstick. Is there anyone out there that had to do the same thing when they installed the hemi oil pan on a 440 ??
