The H4_ interiors are part of the "decor" package that was introduced in November '67 on the coupes - before the introduction of the hardtops in January '68

If at all presentable, I'd leave the original carpet in place - it is one of those items that did not survive well 50+ years in a musclecar - and the currently available reproductions leave a lot to be desired - plus, it proves 4-speeds got BLACK carpet!

I see the reverse light on the dash (for the HURST shifter - also introduced in January '68) up - so your car is built in '68 when both the HURST & red interior were available in a coupe Road Runner - more pics? scope
