Pumps work better pushing fuel, a long time ago before I had a brain there were two different cars with same problem. First was our 68 dart Hemi with the x ram, it ran 10.31 but was popping above 6000, second car a 69 mustang with a Roush 588 inch shotgun motor twin dominators (840 hp) was popping on top end too (8.90-153) couldn’t figure it out till another racer said “you ain’t got no gas” both had ONE Holly blue pushing from rear tank. This was long before the BIG pumps came out. Like I said brain fade. Before I could get two pumps on, the ford blew and Hemi was sold. Anyway mount in back or below tank (within reason) you’ll have no trouble
