Called Brian at Victory and had a really good conversation about this.....My thoughts are the older 2.25 valves were never too heavy to cause an issue, and the new 2.40 stainless valves are that much heavier that this has become an issue....When I look at ALL the BB drag and drive engines out there, at least when they post the specs, they all have Titanium intake valves at this size. The new GM 632 crate motor has them for both intake, and exhaust...So it seems like its one of those hidden necessities....I don't know, but that is where my thinking is headed.

He quoted me:
$134/valve
$40/coating the whole valve (no lash caps needed)
$22/Retainer
$7/Lock
X8_____________
$1624 for 8 new intake valves, locks & retainers
