I spent nine months in Germany near Frankfurt in 1967 and 1968, German beer is way better than what we call beer here in the U.S.
The town near us was Hanau. and it had around 5000 German people in it and I don't know how many G.I., and other military members there were but 2500 to maybe 6000 total including the civilians that work in the consulate and for other branches of the U.S.Govenment shruggy
Beer was cheaper to buy than coffee, milk or any other drinks you could buy in a bar, restaurant or snack stand boogie 50 cents, two marks, for a small (less than 8 ounces) cup of coffee, milk or a glass soda. A half liter, around 16 ounces, of beer in a resealable flippy bottles was around 15 cents back then, guess what we drank a lot of whistling up devil
They didn't chill or warm up their beer, it is served at room temps, usually under 60F shruggy
Every little town of 2000 or more people had their own brewery boogie
Good Cognac was cheap also up devil boogie
