Here's a question for the experts out there:

The problem with a two-piece trunk pan is that the CENTER OF ATTRACTION that catches everyone's eye, is the very middle of the pan, where a very long weld line exists.

I'm ok with a two-piece pan, but admit a full (one-piece) trunk pan just looks much better.

Question:
Has anyone tried taking a FULL (one-piece) trunk pan, and cutting the wings (parallel to where the wheelhouse connects), so that it slides right in ? A Full trunk pan the width between the wheelhouse will slip right in.

==> I know that I now have (2) welds on the edge, instead of one in the middle, but it would give a much better appearance (and be much easier to cover up and smooth out.

Curious if anyone has tried this and what was the outcome ?

Thanks in advance
Mike
