Aftermarket driveshaft with solid Spicer u-joints and billet steel yoke are good insurance, even if just footbraking. Used driveshafts are still old, "used" and will probably need shortening so you'll be spending some time and money at a driveshaft shop already. Might as well try to upgrade.
