I am naturally skeptical of any study with so many variables but I have seen several studies that say that end to end, all things considered that EVs pollute about 50% of what petroleum fueled cars do during their lifetime. This includes all aspects of manufacturing.

I have also seen that while they gather no publicity that petroleum fuel cars catch fire more often per 100,000 miles driven than EVs.

I have made no attempt to fact check either and really don't know how I would given the cesspool known as the Internet.
