29" is pushing it at the front lip, the inner wheelhouse bulge depends a bit on ride height, but better to address it now.
On the '72 Duster I had, that 1/2" - 3/4" inboard deal didn't accomplish much.
At the front of the wheelhouse, I cut a pie-slice at the flange so I could get the flange up against the front surface of the wheelhouse.
Went up about to the curve of the opening when viewed from the side.
A screw can hold it in place while you either weld or panel-bond the flange/quarter back together.
Once painted, it looks stock but allows 29"-30" of tire.
Dusters have enough of a tail weight problem without making it worse by moving the axle back, IMO.
I've moved an axle back 3/8" on a street car, but not a track car.
