One other thing worth mentioning is: The rockers i have ARE LABELED WRONG!!! I found that when i built the engine. They are stamped 1.5 and are actually a tick OVER 1.6. So, it's remotely possible that your buddy has a 1.6 ratio and doesnt know. Also if you could give us anything you might know of his valvetrain as described in my previous post Thanks!
I've seen that same thing on many different high end brand Mopar single shaft rocker arm kits
All the older ductile iron rockers would have less ratio than advertised
