I don't disagree with anything said but one thing to keep in mind is getting the coolant temp up to "hot" doesn't automatically equate to hot oil, and that's what you're after to get out the moisture. Ive seen folks run all Saturday never getting above 150* and then lean out to 200*+ for the trip from the ticket booth to the trailer at the end of the day. I can't imagine that does very much in that regard.




I heat soak my engine one or two classes before I’m called then again in the lanes. After I make a 1/8 mile pass I turn off my water pump and can driving back to the pits. I burn 1/2-3/4 gallon a pass doing this after first fire up.
