So I might also mention my 68 barracuda convertible was black over yellow, had a dual-quad tunnel ram under a black hood scoop, and had "Original Flying Machine" painted on the front fenders in black Gothic letters. While I was still running SS/H we would cruise Market St. in Y-town running anyone willing to race light to light. My best night...running in the high 12's, I ran 17 races and won them all light to light from 11pm until 3am. Thats the way my friend Jerry and I rolled back then...street racing was as exciting as strip racing. Dropped off our girlfriends at 11pm, then hit the streets....and for the record that same Gal of mine has been married to me for 50 years, with 3 children and 14 grandchildren...now THAT is the 'Paul Harvey'..the 'rest of the story'.
