Ok, I've done lots of research on doing a 5.7 swap into an E-Body. 12 years ago it was the plan, but unforeseen circumstances changed my priorities. Now I'm thinking about a little different direction. I just bought a 75 D100, Short box step side with lots of potential. It is a 4spd with what I believe to be a 318, but I don't know small blocks very well. My question is, what is a quick and simple explanation of what would be needed to drop a new style trans in it and leave the 318 in it. I do still have the 5.7 Hemi, so I probably wouldn't leave the 318 in it, but I was just curious. I might just decide to be a little weird. It comes naturally to me. Is it even worth it?
