A little off topic, but H&R Block is not good. I am a retired member of the military. My state recently enacted a new law making military retirement pensions non taxable. This is retroactive to January 2021. The software had not been updated to reflect the change in tax codes for NC. I went to an H&R block office and the "accountant" there argued with me. Refused me a refund. I know what I am talking about I told him, even delivered the proof from the NC Dept. of Revenues webpage. The idiot looked at it and said, "I don't know what this means"? H&R block headquarters never returned my e mail or phone call in regard to this. Now, my credit card company is hopefully disputing the charge for me. Turbo Tax worked great, that and NC's new tax exempt status saved this veteran $3,000 or so in income tax. H&R block is terrible.
