oh yeah, forgot. My 1st truck was a 79 D100. /6 3 on the tree, manual disc and "armstrong" steering. I hauled and towed with that truck especially after a V8 swap and I never had a problem bringing that truck to a stop. pedal effort wasnt that bad at all. More recently my son had a 80 stepside, /6, 4 speed OD, did have power brakes but still manual steering/ which I thought was a weird combo.
