Both times the problem has been an odd lifter (or two) collapsing / not pumping up. Generally the failures have come soon after installation, few hundred miles tops. First with a Comp set, then Erson.
I've just double checked with Howards and the part # I listed is not correct, apparently if you want direct oiling to the rollers and through pushrod oiling for the rocker tips, it's the 91735 set. These are the made in the US, racemax lifters and are closer to the price of the Comps. (around $600 vs $800 for the Comp once I buy the tie bars.) I think the only difference I spotted between the two is the Comps have .8" roller and the Howards a .75". I'm leaning towards the Howards as I'll save the cost of another set of pushrods and I can't see why they would be inferior?
