I'm not sure what you mean on this statement confused
I do remember him taking a dive to insure that one of his younger less experience team mates won a round and in Tony Pedegron(SP?) case he made sure he won the world Championship by making sure Tony went to the finals in Las Vegas to keep him in the running for that Championship. I call that taking care of business instead of making sure you beat your younger employees bow down
I got to thinking after making that earlier post about the early days of racing and my luck in being able to see a lot of drag racing history being made while being raised and being able to race in SO CA back in the early 1960s to the late 1980s.
John Force did exactly the same thing as Don Purdhome(SP?), Tom Mc Ewen, Dick Landy and a lot of other SO CA racers did, they promoted themselves into becoming very successful professional drag racers by working hard and never giving up bow up
I have truly been blessed in my life on a lot of things, those drag racing experiences being just one boogie
