No way GM A body with the same equipment 300-400lbs lighter. Heck I race with guys with Nova's and early Camaro's that are heavier than the average B body. I'm not talking guessed weight. I've weighed quite a few cars on real scales.

Trying to get my 65 road legal with the big block/alum heads it has and need documentation of how much it weighed when new.
Got it weighed in today, at 3570. Removed the stereo and junk in the trunk..

Look at the weight of the Nova in the previous post.

So his big block GM A body weighs 3570 with a 700 lb big block. That sounds pretty good. An olds engine is probably about 100 lbs lighter.

Lots of Mopar B bodies are around 3800-4000 lbs. I realize some weigh less, but it seems pretty common for a GM A body to be in the 3700 range. But I guess you guys are right, thats not 3-400 either.

I’m putting my B body on the scales tomorrow. I’ll let you know what that one weighs.

Our '69 Roadrunner in full street trim/interior, 11" drum brake car + a 5 point cage, with torque thrust alloys driven on to a council weigh bridge weighed 3836lbs with driver, approx 160lbs....approx 12 gal fuel cell, caltracs/mono's, tied frame, 727/Dana 60, Mega Block 589 motor, ally heads/TTI's and just a fibre hood.
