No way GM A body with the same equipment 300-400lbs lighter. Heck I race with guys with Nova's and early Camaro's that are heavier than the average B body. I'm not talking guessed weight. I've weighed quite a few cars on real scales.

So his big block GM A body weighs 3570 with a 700 lb big block. That sounds pretty good. An olds engine is probably about 100 lbs lighter.

Lots of Mopar B bodies are around 3800-4000 lbs. I realize some weigh less, but it seems pretty common for a GM A body to be in the 3700 range. But I guess you guys are right, thats not 3-400 either.

I’m putting my B body on the scales tomorrow. I’ll let you know what that one weighs.
