We pulled into town finally after about 8 hours on the road and everyone was like, "where did you come from?". So we told them we just pulled in. Unknown us, the Interstates were all closed. Hmmm. That might explain why there was no traffic as we were doing a solid 60mph and there was 1 1/2 feet of snow on them. Guess they just shut the gates but we were already out there.

I dunno.......if it was a powdery snow and they had one of these sweet spoilers on their van.......maybe? work shruggy wink

I drove a mid 70s Dodge B van with a 400 in it for a couple of years. It was pretty helpless if you got 4" of snow with an unplowed road. If that 4" of snow was the wet packing kind, you were lucky to get the van to even move, with a Sure Grip and real snow tires.
