Just got back from a Missouri to Yellowstone Park (and return) run.

Saw LOTS of interstate snow gates. Many on “on ramps,” many across the interstates themselves. They were not lowered, of course.

Seen them before in places like Wisconsin and Michigan.

I’m just wondering, when the snow “hits the fan” and they close the gates, how much local havoc does that cause?

I have visions of motel / hotels being sold out, restaurants jammed… people sleeping in cars out of necessity?

Just wondering… wave
