Quote: correct I was running a 383 that if I remember right was .010 or .020 in the hole and with a 79.5cc chamber (NHRA stocker spec) it was a little over 10.1 with stock pistons/rods. Head gasket was .035 or .030 compressed.
Was that a TYPO , to get close to 10.0 the piston needs to be NHRA spec .021 (.020???) ABOVE THE DECK .
