Just depends what is on the other end. I use a 15/16 mc on my Coronet with 4 wheel disc brakes and the pedal is high and hard. The car stops great. The important factor is the ratio of the piston sizes in the MC and calipers. That ratio has to be correct for the brake system to work properly. It isn't a random guessing thing, it is just math.
