If daddy can afford a 1 of 1 supercar, the son may get his hands slapped, and may see more restrictions on his driving for a couple of weeks.
Daddy will just write a check and get a new 1 of 1 super car.

I agree. For us a $200 or $2000 dollar beater may be a big loss but to some people even a 2 Million dollar car is a beater an not a big loss.
I and most of my high school friends had many a story of what we did to our dad's cars. Only one of us totaled them but still the dad's were pretty torqued. I lucked out and my dad found out about me impaling his new truck on a steel bar when he was 10 hours away. He had time to cool off before he got home. Lol.
