Bingo. Jim Dowel (Racer Brown) and I had this very discussion and he recommended to not use a broken in cam in another block. It I was in a spot and had to try a cam I successfully ran before in a different block. I did it’s job and gave me time but it did wipe out the cam and lifters. He went on to say factory specs are the issue
