I have my Dad's chrome Craftsman from the 70's and it works fine with my MSD boxes. It will give you a little tingle if you have any bare skin touching the car when you pull the trigger though.
That is a first I think all the Craftsman timing light and the ones Sears sold with the Penske name on them were chrome
