You should be able to change the rate of advance with lighter rate advance springs or possibly using only one spring to bring that advance in dramatically quicker.That would allow you to keep your 24* base and have your 1200 to 1300rpm timing already in a higher advance position, yet keeping your total at your desired 34*. If it already starts well at 24* degrees, you just need a rate change. Experiment with stretching a spring a little at a time possibly in conjunction with eliminating one.Chevy racers used to do that trick years ago on their stock distributors and they appear to be quite similar to the MSD billet dist.
