Plus hood and fenders. So tack on another $2k all in. I had an old rotted Challenger that I knew was never going to be restorable, maybe I'd go this route. For me, I'd rather replace panels. I can do that work myself, so the $17k is a pretty big pill for me to swallow. Now what could be interesting is if there was a way to get a "kit car" title and use one of the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle drive trains for it. A totally modern car with 1970 style. Ah, if I had the time and money.
