Sometimes you dont get a good ground from tank to frame. Did you put the ground jumper across the hose from fuel line to tank ? Take an alligator to tank lip and then to frame. Make sure you get good grounds see what happens and let me know. good luck
The ground jump should be from the sending unit to the frame. There is a rubber gasket that seals the sending unit, although the retaining ring grounds it, it may not be enough ground causing a fault.
