one thing to include about adding a vent tube hole.
while a tapered punch is absolutely required, you need a starter hole of 1/8-3/16" first, depending upon the size vent tube you are installing.
if you don't do that, your tank will only incur an awful dent or six before your punch pierces the tank wall.
