If you don't have the issue without the solenoid then that's a good thing but if it happens, well the answer is obvious what's needed wink

Also the original high idle solenoid is and was sourced through GM from their Delco Remy parts and it was also used on a '60's Pontiac GTO so maybe find a Pontiac GTO website/forum or Facebook and see if there is a reproduction made or a source for OE? If you find one on a GTO forum please let us know, thanks.........................................(I tried a few years ago, found which model and year it was used on but have to dig to find the info, back later if I find it)

Mike, are you aware of any differences between the Street Hemi solenoid and the 6 BBL ?

Transman, the biggest visual difference with the A12 ('69-1/2) versus say the '70 is a hex on the A12 versus round "pad" (need help with a term?). I think the Street Hemi solenoids have round pads?? Function should be similar, maybe the "throw" of the solenoid is different? Where the wire attaches to the solenoid (male spade) is also a little different along with the angle of the attached mounting bracket to the solenoid body. I think either can be made to function it's mostly optics correctness but could be wrong.
