When I bought my KB aluminum block, I paid for the option to have the lifter galleries oil pressurized.
In 2014, they had the oil pressure flow around the rear cam bearing (between a groove in the block and the bearing shell),
then it went up to the lifter galleries.

My understanding of the newer blocks (see new picture here) is the yellow lines.
