There is not a failure proof system nowdays. So I would stick with Pertronix yet for the easy conversion on stock look. Points are a whole lot less failure prone than the offshore electronic crap being foisted on us these days. The problem is the replacement points are offshore garbage now as well. You have to find an older set to get quality.
