I run a Moroso enhanced vac pump with a 10" regulator & generally it works great. But, when i cross the line & pull the chute, the breather seems to turn into a vape user & we get a heavy burst of fumes coming from the breather element. When we check the overflow back in the pit, I usually get an egg cup worth of oil out of it which i dont consider excessive, but we get a coating of oil around everything close to the breather. Anyway the track official has seen it & is asking questions. So what do you think is causing my problem? I pull from the front of the rocker covers & we have screens to deflect any large slashes of oil at the exit point, my regulator is connected to the pump so its not pulling large air volumes thru the engine, the catch can/overflow is a Stefs unit so its got baffles in it & its a deep unit so plenty of room to disperse any oil vapour Why does it fume so bad?
