When I was working for a company making small ultrasonic cleaners, we used ammonia. You want to have the water at least 130 degrees. Don't leave it in the cleaner very long. Max 5 minutes. Remember the ultrasonic attacks aluminum. In my 30 gallon cleaner it will make holes in aluminum foil in 20 seconds.

Dawn would be my second choice for a small cleaner.
