i have used the 9 way adjustable Cloyes high dollar race sets on motors up to 860 Lbs. open pressure shifting at 7000+ RPM for hundreds of runs at the strip and 3,000 + hard street miles before having them break shruggy
Cloyes had issues on those upper gears for a while, they wouldn't fit under a stock cover, but I think they got that correct now scope
