Been using a Lucas additive in the small-engine stuff for 2 years, seems fine. I use regular StaBil in the cars' float bowls & gas tanks during winter storage, has worked fine for many years. I don't add anything to the cars the rest of the time, no problems w/10% ethanol. Why small engines would be allegedly fussy but the cars fine, I don't know.
