Recently got a 2011 Journey with 60,000 miles. On 2 occasions when starting the vehicle I heard what seemed to be an engine noise for a second or 2. Check engine light can on and gave a P0340. code. Research suggests a cam phaser, which would cause the cam sensor bank 1 code. Sound right? Is this a high price repair. Is the engine a time bomb?

The warranty was extended out by FCA on these to I believe 150,000 miles/10 years. I'd get it to dealership immediately. See if you might get a replacement head/cam on that side at least. They have replaced MANY under warranty. '11 wasn't a good year for that otherwise good engine.
