I am trying to figure out the "correct" way to mount the alternator to the head. I know how this works but I wanted to know the factory correct way to set this up with the sleeves and spacers. The mounting hole rear ear of the alternator is oversized and clearly needs a sleeve to center the mounting bolt. Then you have the long spacer that goes between the ears and the shorter one that bridges the gap from the rear ear to the head.

I have a short sleeve and a long sleeve. Do I need to take one of these and grid it flush with the ear and just use the spacers? My factory stuff is long gone and I wanted to do this correctly while I am swapping the alternator.

Any picture or description of how the spacers and sleeve all should fit together would be appreciated. This is a 400 based stroker with A/C.

Thanks! thumbs
