I do have a manual pump, and after a few days or so, I can see the gas in my clear filter slowly drain back down to the pump.

However, I can remove a lower bolt screw from the float bowl, and gas pours out.


Update: I had the same problem again yesterday, so I went step by step.

I removed the float bowls screws and the float bowl, and aiming the inside of the float bowl away from me, and moving the accelerator pump handle, gas shoots out for 10 feet.

No problem there.

Then I removed the metering block, and using compressed air, that port seemed clear.

Then I used compressed air to blow through to the accelerator pump nozzle from outside the carb main.

Nothing...

So I removed the carb (since it is almost impossible not to drop the accelerator pump nozzle and associated washers into the engine) and removed the accelerator pump nozzle.

Now there is a small bullet shaped valve (a.k.a. the anti-drain-back valve) under the accelerator pump nozzle.

That appeared to be stuck.

After getting the valve loose, I cleaned it up carefully using some emery cloth until it was nice and shiny.

Hopefully this will solve my problem.

Before sticking the valve back in, I blew some carb cleaning through to the accelerator pump nozzle channel.

Buttoned it all up.

Accelerator pump handle moves nicely, and I can hear air blow through the accelerator pump nozzles.

Will actually start the car today to see if gas squirts like it should...
