The bolts may be the cause of your leak, but if the trans has sat empty for years, I think I would be looking at replacing the seals on the shift lever (there is 2 seals there, an inner one around the kick down lever and an outer one around the shaft body). I'm betting you will find trans fluid running from the shift seal(s) down to the pan gasket, the running along the pan gasket to the lowest point and then dripping off. The seal at the dipstick could do the same thing. The trans cooler lines leaking at the trans connection will also appear as a pan leak, and a defective park/neutral switch will do the same thing.

I chased what I thought was a pan gasket leak for years before I discovered these other leaks that will run down on the pan gasket and make it look like its leaking. Gene
