I have always used Brad Penn oil in my 512 since it was built.
The car hasn't been driven down the track for a few years but, I always change the oil and filter every year
as I like to fire it up once in a while. I even keep the belts up to date
in the hope that the Dr.s will let me drive it some day.
As you can imagine,an oil change is pretty expensive. I did buy some Rotella 15-40 that I could change it with. Should I change the oil or what...Thanks guys! Ted
Ted, sorry to hear that you can not drive this car.
Funny how a simple oil change question can get into a debate....
So reading the post, with just starting and running it till good and hot with ZERO miles driven, Rotella will be fine. I think even if you drove (snuck) it down the block and goosed it a few times that the Rotella is fine. Just get it up to operating temps a few times a year for a half hour and that Rotella should be good for two years.
