Do your outboards have air/fuel adjustment screws on them? Mine don't. That's why I assumed they don't have idle circuits.


Old thread, but I found I put out bad info and I stand corrected. I've been advised that the outboard carbs do add fuel at idle. In fact, I had to ever so slightly crack the throttle blades open on them to lean out my idle. I also moved the IFR jet down below the fuel level, which dramatically stabilized my idle A/F ratio. I also had to lean them up a touch.
