While the dynamat and its copycats is spendy, the stuff used by challenger one is not.. I believe challenger one used the insulation that has foil on both sides with the bubbles sandwiched inbetween?? I was going to use this until I found some heating duct insulation.

I found some duct insulation(at home depot) that is a felt with foil on one side and it has adhesive on the other. ABout 1/8" thick. To do my whole floor plus, cost me $50.. The local upholstery shops I spoke to all use something in the floor similar to this...
